Steven Dean Acquires 10% of Amerigo

AMERIGO RESOURCES LTD. and STEVEN DEAN of West Vancouver, British Columbia reported today that Mr. Dean has acquired control and direction over 1,023,500 common shares of Amerigo. These shares represent 11.8% of the outstanding common shares of Amerigo. The acquisition took place through the TSX Venture Exchange.

Mr. Dean acquired the shares for investment purposes and has filed an Early Warning Report with the British Columbia and Alberta Securities Commissions in respect of the shares acquired. Copies of the report may be obtained without charge from the Company.

Amerigo Resources Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration company with properties in Ontario and Quebec. Amerigo has an option to acquire Minera Valle Central S.A., a Chilean copper producer, and is currently exploring for Olympic Dam style copper-gold deposits on four properties in the Sault Ste. Marie area of Ontario.
