Amerigo declares increased semi-annual dividend
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – February 26/CNW/Amerigo Resources Ltd. (TSX:ARG) ("Amerigo" or the "Company") reported today that on February 24, 2007 the Company's board of directors declared a semi-annual dividend of Cdn 6.5¢ per share, payable on April 4, 2007 to shareholders of record on March 27, 2007. This level of dividend represents an increase of approximately 45% from that paid on September 1, 2006.
Company Chairman Steven Dean said, "The board continues to focus on seeking to achieve strong returns to shareholders through a combination of capital appreciation, dividends, and its Issuer Bid share buy-back program."
Amerigo has to date acquired a total of 712,600 of its shares, and has approval to acquire up to a further 2,086,415 shares.
